Welcome friends! We’re Erin & Matt. Yes, another married renovation duo, how original- we know! We actually started this partnership of ours as a seasonal firefighter and Cheesecake Factory server who met on MySpace. Matt’s opening line, that fateful day in 2006, was something wildly smooth like “I think we’d get along”… swoon. But he was really cute so I took a chance and replied. Now, 17 years later we’re here. Two kids, 6 moves, and 2 career changes later. Had you told 21 year old me who replied to that direct message: one day you’ll be working alongside this guy, married with 2 kids, still totally in love, renovating houses and sharing it all online I would have believed you; I’m a hopeless romantic. Matt would have said you were high. He wasn’t looking for forever at 23 but SURPRISE! Turns out when you pair a level headed, hilariously witty, super kind and remarkably skilled guy, with a big dreaming, design loving, sarcastic, anxiety riddled gal… cool stuff happens, can’t fight it.
